Monday, 75 degrees

A 75 degree day at the beginning of November in Chicago should be seen as a special thing. A result of weather as unpredictable as the economy to be sure, but special insomuch as it doesn't happen often. And yet....

and yet.

Only then do you come across people waiting for the same train dressed for two different seasons. Look, I don't care what the date is, if it's 40 you wear that wool coat and fluffy boots (I take that back, please don't wear big fluffy boots ever) and if it's 70 you wear a cute shirt, light pants, and normal shoes. If you see someone wearing the COMPLETE OPPOSITE, reconsider. That said, if you are appropriately dressed, judge. and judge hard. However, if you realize you are the one dressed prematurely for that inevitable winter that will last for more months than godly necessary, please make a mental note and punch yourself in the knee once you're uncomfortably seated on the train in ten times more clothing layers then weatherly called for.

thank you and have a nice day.

I would have to agree. Your scarf is not so cute that you can't wait to bust it out for a couple of weeks. Enjoy the warm weather.

three days of 70 degrees now and we've still got winter coats abounding.

Two seasons at once sounds like Texas. Flip flops and sweaters & fluffy boots and skirts. IDK...
